Legends Car Club Drive For Cancer takes place Saturday, May 9th. We cruise to several different towns in a poker run format and each stop is a mini show and shine. All members canvas pledges for tax deductible donations. Last year we raised over $16,000 for cancer causes. Half the poker hand proceeds go to this worthwhile cause, and half are paid out to the top three poker hands. Everyone is welcome, and the entry fee is only $10.00, which includes a wind-up barbeque in Altona. Buy as many poker hands as you like. The Optimist Club of Lorette is hosting a ball tournament this weekend. There will be Wonder Shows at the community complex, as well as a beer gardens. In the past we donate all monies to the complex. This weekend is the only summer event in town, and our car show would fit in perfect.
